The Vaporfly 4 is the lightest Vaporfly in franchise history—10% lighter than Vaporfly 3—through simultaneous reductions across the upper, midsole, and outsole. Full-length ZoomX PEBA foam with an updated Flyplate curvature delivers Nike’s highest energy return, with a slightly reduced stack vs. Vaporfly 3 for more direct ground contact and a snappier feel. The full-length Flyplate carbon plate is angled higher than the Vaporfly 3, maximizing forefoot propulsion at race pace. A 6mm drop—lower than Vaporfly 3—supports a natural, efficient midfoot strike across every race distance.
